Assume the statutory speed limit of 70 MPH; the tendency of the local constabulary to ignore violations up to 5 MPH over; A stream of traffic in the right-hand lane averaging 68-72 MPH; and a certain sense of scofflawry and haste on my part that may rise to the level of a ticket without tipping over into the reckless category; and the fact that I am therefore in the continuous process of "passing on the left" all of those law-abiding drivers in the right lane.
A question: exactly how fast must I be going before I must make way for a non-emergency vehicle intent upon hitching ride in my trunk?
Someone once told me that 20-over is an acceptable maximum. Thats 90 MPH. I had to ask, "are you serious?"
drive on the right, pass on the left.
if you have to pass someone on the right because they refuse to move out of that lane, they deserve a glare/finger/whatever as you pass them.
stop worrying about how fast i am driving and just drive...fast.
Please ... stay in So.Cal.
You are the classic fast lane blocker and you admit that you see a lot of people flashing their lights trying to get you to move over.
Even on a forum you still berate the guys trying to get you out of the fast lane instead of you simply driving better, you are the annoying guy that we see all the time ignoring traffic flow and playing King of the World while in the safety of your lane clogging vehicle.
You, sir, have taken it to new lows. Are you a graduate of the California educational system? Perhaps that would explain the problem.
Please ... stay in So.Cal.
Quit backing up traffic and you will not have so many good people flashing headlights at you in an effort to get you out of the fast lane.
Not really. The OP specifically referred to non-emergency vehicles.
And thank you for your service.
The ranting and raving from So.Cal continues ... as does the utter lack of comprehension.
Here's some driving advice, little man:
1) Chill.
2) Look more than one car ahead.
3) Chill.
4) Look to the sides.
5) Chill.
6) Keep the big picture in mind.
7) Chill.
keep reading, buddy, you are late to the game....LOL
The OP referes to being in a continual state of passing.
Thank you.
I get it.
You want to be a traffic monitor and prevent people from passing you that you judge to be going too fast.
You should GTF out of the way then, too.
Thank you.
More advice, MOVE OVER.
Hope you got the guy’s plate number! You’re right, no excuse.
There’s always — with me at least — that first instant when you notice the police car or emergency vehicle in your rear view mirror and you think to yourself, “Shoot! How long has he been there”, or “Where’d he come from?” Makes your heart jump just a bit, and I think that I use my mirrors more than most.
It's sad, really.
My posts are all written in plain English, on an English language website, in an English speaking country ... and yet you cannot comprehend them.
Perhaps I was wrong to blame the California educational system ... although it has not been absolved of blame ... but perhaps it is simply irrelevant.
Perhaps the Mexican educational system is relevant.
Fun Story, though.
Thanks.
I wonder whether anyone has ever tried the defense of "I was actaully speeding...did the patrolman who cited me really want me to go faster?"
I’m a Texan, but I do know how to stay out of the fast lane when someone is trying to pass me.
If, as you admit, people flash their lights at you asking you to free up the lane then get your troubled ego out of the way and move over.
In an effort to deal with the passive-aggressive wankers that squat in the fast lane, some states are trying to educate people that it is about traffic flow and safety, not the marked speeds.
Yeah...had to go to werk and then wait for the boss to get out of line-of-sight of the ‘puter.
free up the lane
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!
If you'd follow my advice (or at least comprehend what you've read), you'd understand just how ridiculous that statement of yours really is.
< snicker >
He thinks the lane can be "freed up".
< snicker >
... as if ....
two nasty four letter words in your life today, huh?
