I still wonder how much ABC was ‘encouraged’ to change the Alien’s approach from the previews. Of course, if they were ‘encouraged’ to change it from the hopey changey Aliens, the irony would be never ending from the story.
Sounds interesting. I remember rushing home from church to watch V. We’ll see if they can’t keep from making it totally pr0bama.
Of course, I don’t have a television, so I’ll be watching if it’s available online.
I watched the re-run of the original series for 12 hours this past weekend. The similarities between the current coup and the 1980s alien take over were unbelievable. I wonder what is underneath Obama’s ear flaps?
What!?!
I havent heard beans about this coming on. Then again I dont have cable, but still havent seen any web ads.
Hopfully it’s in the spirit of many of the great “reboots” that have been coming out, and not some PC PO (Pro-Obama) BS.
On Sunday, Sy Fy ran an entire marathon of the original “V” and “V: The Final Battle” miniseries from the 1980s. I watched it all. It was really good television and completely made the point about the dangers of closet fascism in America.
Time and channel it airs at??
Of course, I wish that The Sarah Connor Chronicles was back, but I'll take a "V" remake - hope they do it right.
I caught the clip about the Alien telling the interviewer to avoid asking questions that might paint them in a bad light.
Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

I watched the original miniseries this weekend and it rang a little too true with current times.
I’m just sayin’
Gone are the Manly man characters played Marc Singer and Micheal Ironside, to be replaced by < insert drumroll > Yep you guessed it - A hard working single mom
And of course all the white males are feminized wimps who have issues.
C'mon, who would you want to save earth, The Beastmaster or Murphy Brown?
The empowered fighting female cliché has all but ruined Sci-Fi, no doubt it will with the new V.
Sounds good, I’ll DVR it.
I’m looking forward to V as possibly the most perfect metaphor for the rise of Obama to ever hit the small screen. However, I won’t be surprised if it turns out that they’ve managed to fill this show with leftist pap like all the others.
how many threads do we need for this viral ad campaign?
is someone being paid to post this stuff?
every time a series is potentially stinkworthy, the suits invoke some kind of conservative theme.
I enjoyed the original as a kid, I hope the new version keeps the anti-statist/pro individual liberty message. I also hope they don’t pc the new red dawn either.
