Is that all they are, to their Commander in Chief?

Afterthoughts and photo ops. It's all very disheartening.

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Evenin' Amy.

Had Vet's Choir rehearsal at church tonight preparing for 3 Veteran's Day services this weekend. Will get #3 daughter to video the songs again this year and hopefully post a link on Veteran's Day. We sounded GREAT!

Where History Comes Alive
When your children say to you, “What do you mean by this service?” . . . you shall say, “It is the Passover.” —Exodus 12:26-27

The movie Night at the Museum portrays the humorous experiences of a security guard at a natural history museum. The excitement begins for him when the displays come to life at night.

Inspired by this movie, directors of a real museum created a similar experience. The staff portrayed historic figures such as knights in armor, Victorian ladies, and Egyptian royalty. When children arrived at the museum, they were told that the people in the exhibits had come alive and needed to be led back to their proper place. As the children responded, history came alive for them.

Children need not be bored by history. This is especially true of Bible stories. Take Moses, for example. He escaped death as a child, was educated as a prince, worked miracles, and received the Ten Commandments on tablets. What exciting story elements that teach children about God!

Biblical stories have been shared with children for generations—all the way back to the times of Exodus (ch.12–13) and Deuteronomy (ch.6). Moses described times when children were retold vital stories from Jewish history.

Why not set a time to read Bible stories to the children in your life? Then watch their excitement as biblical history comes alive!

The stories in the Word of God
Are there for us to see
How God has worked in people’s lives
Throughout all history. —Sper

The Bible’s treasures are found by those who dig for them.

Good Morning Amy!
What a adorable graphic for today!
God Bless our troops and today my prayers are with those in Fort Hood who have died at the hand of a “ enemy within”!

My prayer for this weekend is that God will give us strength and energy to fight this horrible injustice in Washingtion! May rightousness prevail!

Chiming in here a day late...
I was horrified at the LACK of response from the ZERO!
His short , strange comments were as if he were the president of the world looking at a “ event” that happened in “America”!

Yesterday’s shootings and this health care being rammed down our throats has left me and I’m sure all of you numb! We must get up, dust off and revolt!

I have posted to the wrong thread this morning, typos abound..I am so sad and so angry..Yesterday’s outrage wore me out..Prayers for the victims and our nation.
The massacre occurred in a neighboring county..making it “close to home”.

I didn’t understand what you meant by posting to the wrong thread....I saw your pretty floral post, Meg, and it was wonderful.

Yesterday’s horrific event just about killed me too! Oh, what is happening to the country we love and hold so dear to our hearts. All those innocent soldiers, its too much for my heart to comprehend.

And then there’s the health care problems. It looks like Pelosi, Reid, and Zero will cram it right down our throats. I woke up during the night and caught some of yesterday’s events on Capitol Hill on C-span. It was wonderful!
