Thanks, Lori - Amy and I have both used some openings that we’ve posted before, and I forget some of them until I see them again. Have you heard anything from her today?
No, I haven’t heard from her. Should we be worried? Okay, I am actually worried. Should I call her or wait awhile longer?
Is this a re-run? I don’t remember it, but it is certainly worth re-running again, and even again. :-)
Sorry I couldn’t be with you today....still not up to par but I did go get hair done, color, too...takes long.
Ya’ll have me worried about Amy now also. I will be checking back when I can.

Usually Amy calls you if she's having problems with her internet connection, doesn't she? I'm just a little concerned because it's not like her to be *this* late posting an opening. :(

Good news! Before I could call Amy, she called me to let me know that her internet is down again (the joys of living in the country!), some kind of problem with the phone lines. She said to tell everyone that she is sitting by her phone cussing out AT&T and trying to get a dial tone. LOL. She will be back as soon as the phone lines are fixed. :-)

Me too, yorkie! Really! Another one who hates the U.S., it sounds like....from all the rumors! He didn’t think we should be in Iraq or Afghanistan. (just like the O....LOL!)
Yes I am also very upset since hearing of this horrific crime this afternoon. I came in the house as the story was breaking. As things developed my level of anger, frustration and sorrow has risen.
My husband and I were in the house when the fake president was to give a statement about the shootings. This was early on, right after the gunman was shot.
We were disgusted that Obama was being so happy and joking with the audience he was in front of (some kind of conference). I don’t think he was aware that he was on a live national feed at that point.
He even did some “shout outs” to people in the audience! I am not kidding. He used that term. The audience applauded and laughed. It appeared he didn’t even know he was supposed to give a statement about a very serious matter.
Then he abruptly commented on the shootings as if he had not just joked around a second before. It was stunning. He gave canned comments on the military situation. Postings on this behavior were made on FR, and O spoke for several minutes in a jovial way before he made the comments on the shootings. I bet ya he didn’t know the nation was watching the first 3 minutes he was on.
After the name of the shooter was well known, and I had heard it on radio and read it on FR, I turned Fox News back on and Shep Smith was refusing to say that the murderer was a muslim. It took him until after 5pm central to say it. This was over an hour after major news outlets had reported it. So then I was not only steamed at Obama, but at Fox as well.
Then I had to do something, so I started a prayer thread.
This was nothing less than another muslim attack on our soil. The war is right here at home. I remember the soldier who was shot and killed by a muslim US soldier last spring in Little Rock, Arkansas. The slain soldier was outside an Army recruiting office. Many will remember that horrible crime as well.
The way we as a nation have been made to tolerate things, even the religion of terrorists, and “be nice” to all manner of people, is a weakness that the terrorists exploit. I am so mad that it has gotten to this point. Apparently the muslim killer at Fort Hood gave plenty of warning signs, and they were not heeded.
It’s all very upsetting. All those people hurt or killed. All their loved ones grieving. It’s so sad.
TCP, You took the words right out of my mouth! EVERY word! When he came on tv, he was joking and being very aloof - and it was like he hadn’t even heard about the shooting - and the 11 soldiers that had been killed on their own soil.
And, then, as an ‘afterthought’ he brought it up. Like, “Oh, by the way - some soldiers were shot today........and we pray for them......’ But, back to the REAL reason I am here....”
I can’t tell you how much he not only disappointed me - but the families and loved ones of those who were ‘taken’.
WERE they (or ARE they) only an ‘afterthought’? Is that all they are, to their Commander in Chief?
