I thought the issue was what was happening now. How are tide guages for that? (Hint here.)

The rate of relative sea-level rise, or RSLR, during the 20th century was 3 to 3.3 millimeters per year, higher than the usual rate of one per year.
That would be almost 13 inches in the 20th century, obviously that's complete crap.

I'm thankful the rise only happened in North Carolina - and not further south in Florida where I live. Our water level is the same as always... /s
