Sounds like the sort of shallow thing a liberal would say.

What kind of a stupid assed musing is this? While far from being a big supporter of Crist (and I live in Fl.) I find your posting an utter waste of time and totally irrelevant. In fact, Christ is pretty skinny. Do you live in Fla and watch him on TV?
Sheesh, get a life.

Agreed. Most politicians are useless, self-serving crooks who steal from us on an hourly basis.

Yes. Conservativism does not mean , always, asceticism.

Let me have men about me that are fat,
Sleek-headed men and such as sleep a-nights.
Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look,
He thinks too much; such men are dangerous.

Those with a lean and hungry look, those whose vacant grin is wider than their face, those men are the most dangerous.

“GOP choice Crist can’t control his appetite for food. Is this an indicator?”

Grover Cleveland was very good, and Taft was adequate.
I guess weight is not such a good indicator.

“Officeholders are the agents of the people, not their masters.”

“It is the responsibility of the citizens to support their government. It is not the responsibility of the government to support its citizens.”

“Once the coffers of the general government are opened to the public, there will be no shutting them again.”

“Manifestly nothing is more vital to...the beneficient purposes of our Government than a sound and stable currency.”

“When we consider that the theory of our institutions guarantees to every citizen the full enjoyment of all the fruits of his industry and enterprise, with only such deduction as may be his share toward the careful and economical maintenance of the Government which protects him, it is plain that the exaction of more than this is indefensible extortion and culpable betrayal of American fairness and justice. This wrong inflicted upon those who bear the burden of national taxation, like other wrongs, multiplies a brood of evil consequences.”

Grover Cleveland

A diet might solve his problem ... stupid, on the other hand, can’t be fixed.

So you would prefer Neville Chamberlain over Winston Churchill? Bad plan, stupid vanity, you should be thoroughly embarrassed.

Have you seen Pelosi and obama? If we were to follow your logic they should be doing everything right. What next, you are going to support outlawing McDonalds and monitoring what Americans eat? I support any person in doing what they wish to do as long as it does not impact my life!

I don’t trust any politician... Frankly, I’d trust most people locked up in maximum security prisons before trusting the word of any elected offical.
