A FISHERMAN spent a nervous night perched in a mangrove tree as two crocodiles menaced him from below after his boat sank on a remote Kimberley river in Western Australia.
Stan Martell told Wyndham police his boat dragged its anchor on Friday night and became wedged under a tree branch as he slept during a fishing trip ...
The 7.2m craft was then swamped by the incoming tide ...
two crocodiles surfaced near the sinking boat as he scrambled up the tree were he spent the night "sitting there like a Koala bear".

No photoshop! I've seen crocs that big, and gators, although not as long, almost as massive.

Yes, but have you ever seen anyone standing next to them dropping a fish in their jaws? Why would the croc settle for a measly fish?

I can watch people feeding crocs and gators any time I want to, it's about a 15 minute drive to the gator farm. I can find 10 to 12 foot gators within shouting distance of my house.
The 7 foot rattler that made the news last week was right up the road from me.
Gator and croc farms feed small fish and animals to the crocs and gators during public shows. It just isn't practical to throw in a whole cow!

I’ll never forget a fishing trip to Okeechobee a few years ago. We saw about 15 alligators in one morning and I mean big gators!

People drive through the South and don’t see gators crossing the road so they don’t know what is lurking just out of sight. There are plenty of the big guys around.

There are plenty of the big guys around. I came around a bend in a canel while bass fishing and saw the biggest gator I had ever seen down here (south Louisiana). My bass boat is 20' and this sucker on the bank was maybe 2 to 3 feet shorter than the boat. Awesome sight and didn't have a camera.

I accidently cornered a big one in a little side creek, it turned and came under the canoe. I felt every bump on it’s back, it seemed like it took a real long time, LOL

In Canada it's grizzly's that do that. Black bears are the climbers.
