This death is all together spooky.
I will watch some of my Green Acres DVDs in Vic’s honour.
Green Acers theme was a masterpiece.... I was born to late catch the Addams Family theme fever. And when the Addams Family did finally make it to cable, The “monsters living next door” thingy was not that funny.
Goys, darkies, they all look green from here.
I like his attitude. God Bless and keep the old songwriter. Because even He could use some humor in the Mel Brooks genre.

Had a pretty good run.
Rest in peace, Vic!
The house shown at the beginning of the intro was the Ebeneezer Maxwell Mansion in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. In my early life I lived down the street from it.
Mizzy did various themes other then “Green Acres” and the “Addams Family”. They each had in common telling the “story” of the series.
I have mp3s of Red Buttons singing the theme to his show “Double Life of Henry Phyfe” and the theme to “Captain Nice”. Here is all I can find on youtube.

RIP.
Mizzy sang the song himself and overdubbed it three times to give the impression of multiple vocalists. He also directed the title sequence where he asked actors who played members of the Addams family to snap their fingers in a bored way.
He also wrote The Night Has a Thousand Eyes (w/ Irving Taylor).
