More people who watch the NFL provide it with ratings that it can use to command higher prices from the various networks which compete to show the games. Since the NFL doesn't want conservative fans, it is best to turn the TV off whenever there is a game on.
Not me...season ticket holder and Giants fan since ‘58 (I was a leetle boy back then). I have great respect for Drew Brees...great guy, great arm. But I love my G-men...watch for Jacobs and Bradshaw to have a big day with occasional passes to Smitty and Manningham to keep the Saints dee honest. The Saints aren’t the Aints anymore, but who dat? gwine to beat my Big Blue?

Those guys think that people like me don’t have a right to own a franchise. Why should I support them financially in any way? Watching them is supporting them. Who cares if the season is already underway? They are either unAmerican or cowardly Americans for not speaking up. They are not worthy.

I decided this morning while taking a shower that I was going to watch the NFL, primarily because I have become so concerned/obsessed with the state of affairs in our nation, and watching sports has been one of my few diversions from that reality.
Ugly politics has infringed on the domain of the NFL, but I need my diversions to keep my sanity.
