Zero sympathy for those that refuse to help themselves and or demand others do for them !

Michigan is in for a massive era of hurt unlike they have ever seen. No pun intended but Detroit is a black hole that is sucking the states resources and good communities dry !

If the goobermint wants to do anything for that town it would scrape off the urban wasteland of abandoned structures and old factories and grow crops ! Turn the abandoned parts of that ville into a DOD USAF civil engineer’s, Navy Seabee’s and Army corp of engineer’s training ground with FEMA as to how to recover a city after it’s been nuked !

Nuked in this case being .....conventional destruction by society.

Just my opinion and how I would fix it if I had the keys for a day.

...same here! NO sympathy! I just can't believe that there are idiots out there who will read this AP piece of crap and feel the need to help because of guilt and the whole "have...have not" lie.

If these people can't find work locally, do what we've done...MOVE. But from the sounds of it, not being able to find work is only scratching the surface of their problems!

That’s actually a seriously good idea...the only thing I can see problematical with it is we’re STILL spending taxpayer dollars on people who basically will go back to their old ways the minute the last olive drab deuce-and-a-half packs up and leaves.

New Orleans is a perfect example. They re-elected the maggot mayor that left them to drown, just because he was black.

People have to WANT help themselves. Some will and will get a leg up and prosper, but most won’t, because it’s easier to be led than lead.

But then again, maybe it’s a victory if only a few make it.
