The plot thickens.
I’m shocked! /s
I don’t know the exact size of the balloon, but it would have required something like 50 pounds of helium to just be able to get off the ground with the kid inside, anyone who is interested in science would know this.
At least this info makes some sense of this story, thanks.
I heard the father say something about the balloon was to be charged with a million volts and wondered what he might be talking about.
I believe they were planning some kind of stunt, but I don’t think the boy was intended to be part of it.
This has turned into a reality show for reality show wannabees.
This father is an idiot.
did you see the launch video?
It was most definitely a hoax
he knew the balloon could not lift the kid.
I’m not sure who is sicker, the father or the people who are stuck on this subject, giving him exactly what he wanted.
If he is found to have orchestrated this fiasco, I hope he is required to foot the bill for the emergency services he caused to roll on this one.
Further, he should be removed from the home for six months, be put under a strict program of counseling, and be required to perform a few thousand hours of community service.
The wife and children should be talked to, to make sure they are safe in the home before he can return. And when he returns, I’d keep his arse on a very short leash.
The abuse of the children in this incident is just sickening, if he did this for a stunt to get notoriety.
It's getting harder and harder to tell these days.
Naming his son Falcon should have been a tip off on how moronic ole’ dad is.
The sheriff is sticking to his opinion that it was a real emergency. Guess he doesn’t want to admit he was punked.
Off the trail a bit. Please deliver me from people that name their children, Falcon, Apple, BlueBell; etc. These names only reflect how stupid the parents that named them truly are.

Too bad the local news didn’t have an infrared camera. That could have helped relax the national audience.
Heard on FoxNews last night that the kids parents thrive on publicity stunts and media attention. They live for the attention of the cameras.
If you look at that balloon he launched there was no way he could have thought his son was on it, there was no cockpit, there would have had to have been a huge tear in it for even a 6 year old to get inside it. It wouldnt have flown, it would have taken a LOT more helium to get that airborne with a 6 year old in it.
Its so obvious when you see him and his wife launch it, no way could he believe that his kid was in it. His kid is in that tiny little bottom part and he doesnt notice any extra weight? No break in the seal of the little bottom part? No movement of sound from his kid hiding in the little portion? The guy is a total loon and there is no way he believed his kid was in there. He and his wife met at acting school, he was WAY, WAY, WAY, over the top in Wife Swap, either he was acting, or hes insane. Maybe a little of both.
Maybe THIS story is a hoax to cover up the original hoax so CPS won’t take the guys kids away from him.
I wonder which television outlet will be the first to offer the Heene’s the reality show they have been peddling? I vote MTV.
