Thanks decimon....devoted solely to science and education has just expanded to include half the countries of the world... The Taj network, funded by the National Science Foundation, now connects India, Singapore, Vietnam and Egypt to the larger Global Ring Network for Advanced Application Development (GLORIAD) global infrastructure, and "dramatically improves existing U.S. network links with China and the Nordic region," according to an NSF statement... is not the same as "Internet 2," a domestic project aimed at connecting U.S. scientists with one another.Should be placed under the control of the Dep't of Commerce. |

I wonder if 0bama will monitor this, too, for political dissent? (i.e.us racists and terrorists)
This truly gives me a case of the RED A$$! We're arrogantly assured by the spokespeopleperson this is NOT an elitist system, however it can only be accessed by, well, the elitists in academia. Maybe I should work on my comprehension skills. Of course all of this brought to you by the ever suffering American taxpayer. Connecting the scientific cabal around the world on the American taxpayers' dime. It's only fair that the people footing the bill shouldn't have access, right? God this makes me want to puke!
