The network offers large-bandwidth connections for scientists and educators who seek to avoid the often bogged-down Internet the rest of us are stuck with.

This truly gives me a case of the RED A$$! We're arrogantly assured by the spokespeopleperson this is NOT an elitist system, however it can only be accessed by, well, the elitists in academia. Maybe I should work on my comprehension skills. Of course all of this brought to you by the ever suffering American taxpayer.
