She looks fine for a 48 year old bravetart.

FTA:

Ironically, how she appears on the cover may make no difference. Her album, out November 23, has already topped Amazon’s bestsellers list, with tens of thousands of copies sold as pre-orders. It is certain to go straight to the top of the Billboard chart..

I Dreamed A Dream tracklisting: .

“Wild Horses”
“I Dreamed A Dream”
“Cry Me A River”
“How Great Thou Art”
“You’ll See”
“Daydream Believer”
“Up To The Mountain”
“Amazing Grace”
“Who I Was Born To Be”
“Proud”
“The End Of The World”
“Silent”

She looks pretty in that photo. Good for her!

Here's an old joke:

Karen Carpenter (RIP) released a new album today. Her picture is on the side.

I think she looks gorgeous — especially when she opens her mouth to sing. I wish her the best. And I hope an HONEST man kisses her before it’s all over!

I once made a joke when at work (construction) years ago, but a few years after the demise of Karen Carpenter.
“Rainy Days and Mondays” was playing and when she got to the line “nothin’ ever seems to fit”, I couldn’t resist saying :OH, HOW IRONIC!!!! Whereupon my boss yelled out
“Come on, BE NICE!!!”

It's a shame she wasn't "discovered" 25 years ago when she recorded this

We've been here before:

If you crank up the Wayback Machine...

This woman had the voice of an angel but endured a lifetime of ridicule and fat jokes.

Oh, that was bad. We adored KC but our favorite “dark” joke on the matter is: if Mama Cass had shared her ham sandwich with Karen, would they both be alive today?

Thanks for posting that....I love her voice - and I’m a huge country fan that rarely listens to anything else. I plan on getting her cd once it’s released....

She is a very nice lady who has an amazing voice. While her appearance is much nicer now, it would not be accurate to call her beautiful in a physical sense.

If you are referring to a spiritual type of beauty, you’ll get no disagreement from me.

Jump a few decades later and we have my favorite female singer, Mama Cass.

“Susan Boyle’s new album cover features the global superstar as you have seen her before—down-to-earth and natural..”

But not with the hideous hair-do or frumpy dress she first appeared on TV in - which I suspect was by design on the part of the producers.

She looks great. She does look like Mrs. Edwards in that photo though.
