There probably isn’t any way to, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Duranty gave intelligence to the Soviets that found its way to the Nazis early in the war.

I don’t think I would trust that reporter Herbert B Mathews either, although not as oderous as Duranty.

Herbert Matthews was pretty bad, he was Castro’s big cheerleader back in the 1950s and Che Guevara said that his coverage was one of communism’s biggest victories in Cuba.
