There probably isn’t any way to, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Duranty gave intelligence to the Soviets that found its way to the Nazis early in the war.

Herbert Matthews was pretty bad, he was Castro’s big cheerleader back in the 1950s and Che Guevara said that his coverage was one of communism’s biggest victories in Cuba.

Yeah, I knew a little of that. The name has come up before. He is the one who seems to have written the articles that gave people the idea that Mussolini got the trains to run on time.
