I heard Chris Berman yesterday handling the ESPN Radio play-by-play of the Rockies-Phillies game. Quite possibly the worst baseball play-by-play work I have ever heard
Knowing I have to sit through the trash known as Tim McCarver again this October doesn’t thrill me either.
The guys who do the hosting jobs over at the MLB Network every night and Baseball Tonight on ESPN are the guys I want...plus Gary Thorne.
Berman is horrible on the radio. About the only thing I can understand from him is what inning just ended and the score.
Apparently you never heard Harry Carey, in his final years, do the middle three innings of Cub games on the radio. UNBELIEVABLY BAD!
I’m glad Phil Mushnick put Chip Carey in his place. Carey’s a complete tool. No way would he be in the booth if it wasn’t for his old man.
