Although Obama did not actually finish the race, he was awarded firt place today in the Wiener Dog National Race.
Entered only 12 days ago, Obama drew the praise of the other contestants after spending most of his time since his entry apologizing for his owner's arrogance.
After the starting gun fired, Obama simply posed and barked incessantly, anouncing his presence while the other dogs ran to the finish line.
In a statement from the judges, Obama was sighted for his "grand intentions to actually run the race."
