Yankees v. Twins. Game 1 ALDS
What’s that talk? Geez a few years ago, the Twins edged out the Tigers on the last day, and everybody expected the Tigers to go into their series with the Yankees with their tails between their legs, and we all know what happened.
Aw geeeeeeeeeeez, here we go. Announcer says Girardi wears 27 because they already have 26 championships. You have no idea how annoying hearing that “26” is, especially in my neck of the woods.
Go Red Sox!
Tomorrow. But I’m sure they appreciate it.
Rally?
Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
I don’t understand the Twins not bunting when they had the chances to advance some speedy runners. Especially with Punto leading off with a single in the third. Span is a great bunter with blinding speed. C.C. has a history of getting rattled when he has to come off the mound to field bunts. If they had bunted Span, the third inning could have been a track meet.....
The Twins need to go with the small ball to manufacture runs. That’s how they got here......
U R right. I am a small-ball advocate.
One of the reasons I can’t root for Yankees. Fans who never watch baseball.
They won’t survive if they try to go toe-to-toe with the Yanks. Jeter just showed ‘em that.....
I'm actually a diehard Red Sox fan, but I do think the Twins are a classy team. (We support the New Britain, CT Rock Cats, AA affiliate of the Twins)
I so live in the New York metor area, but in my experience, 60% of Yankee fans aren’t home watching the game now. They will read the results in tomorrow’s paper, and if they win will brag about the upcoming 27th championship.
Actually I don’t think the Twins bats are all that bad.
They’re great at home but they have a tough time maintaining on the road, especially in NY.....
The good news is that C.C. is over 70 pitches already.......
He has a history of going long though. At least he has with the Yanks.
not good.
LOL, those must be the same Yankee fans my husband and I run into when we go to Red Sox-Yankees games at Yankee Stadium.
I do have to say that does NOT include some good FRiends I have here who are Yankee fans... ;-)
Here in Connecticut, it is 50/50 Red Sox/Yankees fans. All the chest-pounding about their "dynasty" drives me insane. It's that arrogant sense of entitlement that many Yankee fans have I can't stand...
What team do you root for?
These TBS announcers sure sound excited whenever the Yankees do something good...
Here come the bad guys......
