This thread is the most discouraging thing I’ve seen on FR for a long time. I thought people here were better informed. The self-styled armchair psychologists that believe autism is a made-up malady to milk money from the government are ignorant and have obviously never spent time around autistic people. My adult son has a classic case of high level Aspergers and although very bright in some respects, is childlike in others, and will never be self sufficient. His case history is far too long to discuss here, but I know in his case that vaccines had nothing to do with it.

Parents confronted with a real live problem don’t need to suffer such a scarlet letter as you have offered.

Autism is a serious matter and obviously on the rise. The fact that there are no clear answers at this time doesn’t mean that the only reason is parenting or lack of.

To a family with autism to deal with, attitudes like yours do even more harm.

It is that type of thinking that is going to bring on mandatory vaccines from Obamacare zealots for conditions which are wholly preventable without the potentially dangerous injections given based on a one-size-fits-all mentality.

Look at where we've come to already because of mostly unfounded scare tactics: several localities already instituting or considering mandatory vaccines for a bug that is relatively mild and which can generally be avoided by having a healthy immune system (plenty of sun for vitamin D, healthy diet, exercise, proper hygiene, etc.)

Consider one example from the state of TX. A governor with very strong ties to its manufacturer (Merck) mandated by executive order that Gardasil be given to ALL young school girls essentially to vaccinate them against a disease (HPV) which can mostly be avoided simply by not being a slut. A vaccine which can claim among other side effects an increased level of slutty behavior.

Now consider the potential for abuse under a federally mandated system such as Obamacare. It's quite freightening despite the intended calming effect of Obama appearing yesterday with a flock of white-coated doctors (several of whom had to be handed spare whites for the photo op by Obama operatives).

Perhaps not being a tramp is too much to ask of our young girls.

Perhaps some people, such as yourself, will always rely on the government and its contracted suppliers to concoct the next unproven but highly profitable means for your "body to be trained to defend itself against" each trumped up threat that comes along.

Perhaps the marriage of technology and tyranny will eventually make the vaccine which can combat the germ of free-thinking a glorious reality.

The liberals convinced mommy that she was a slave by being a stay home mom. They told her if she became independent by getting her own job, she'd be free. Today, woman are raising their children alone and working two jobs instead of one. They're more imprisoned now than they've ever been.

My theory: in general liberal women have more testosterone in their system than more traditional women.

While the "icebox mother" theory has been disproved, I believe many mothers of autistic children tend to be hyper-intellectual, or at least intense. (Not all, but many.)

Albert Einstein flunked his first math exam and still could not tie his own shoes as a matured adult. If Albert Einstein would have been diagnosed as autistic, he would have been regarded as a savant.

While I would agree that too many people jump on the bandwagon, simply denying there is a problem is no way to solve the social issues of integrating such people into the society as productive, self reliant individuals... unless you'd rather have them dependent on the rest of us and our taxes...

Here is a brief run down.

Obama invented the swine flu and the vaccine, actually the vaccine causes the flu and the reason that vaccine and the flu were created by Obama and his minions in the CDC and NIH was to empower the government, enrich corporate interests and apparently to sterilize women in the Philippines. We assume causing autism and gulf war syndrome was simply for style points.

And vitamin D prevents the flu proven by the fact that the flu has been most diagnosed in the sun starved states such as Texas and California.
