America's fast food temple is celebrating its 30th anniversary in France with a coup -the opening of its 1,142nd Gallic outlet a few yards from the entrance to the country's Mecca of high art and the world's most visited museum. The chain faces a groundswell of discontent among museum staff, many already unhappy about the Louvre lending its name and works to a multi-million pound museum project in Abu Dhabi. As I recall, there was a McDonald's less than a block away from the museum anyway, so I guess it's not really a big deal.
I wonder what they are going to call a “Quarter Pounder with Cheese”?
I went to the Louvre Thanksgiving 2007 and didn’t even notice a McDonald’s...I was in and out of there in 90 minutes...I don’t mess around. I took the top 10 things to see in the Louvre and ran around finding them...once I found then I went on to the next attraction. Oh by the way, Hard Rock Cafe gave a slice of punkin pie to commemorate the American holiday in Paris to all the tourists!!!
That is freakin’ hilarious.
Bonjourrrrr, ya cheese eatin’ surrender monkeys!
You know what they put on french fries in Holland instead of ketchup?
C’est formidable!
HAMBURGERS - The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.
Perfect.

There were announcements awhile back that McD was going to spend a bunch of money changing the "atmosphere" and decor of their restaurants to make them more upscale looking.
So far there's no evidence of that in Central Virginia that I've seen.
... and they need to get rid of those clown things. Ugh!
At last! A decent place to eat while visitng Paris.
Have you seen the life-sized Ronald McDonald sitting on the bench? Is that what you mean?
There's one of those around here and it is the creepiest thing I've seen in a long time. And when a little kid sits on it, next to the clown, it gets even creepier.
Eeew.
