I love Rush..I do. But if my memory serves me correctly, he came forward about his vicodin addiction ONLY when he found himself being blackmailed...am I correct? I love Rush..I dislike hypocrites. Tell me where I'm wrong.

He’s making your same point about Letterman and his obsession with Sarah Palin. Letterman is the hypocrit.

If I’m not mistaken Rush was being harassed by the local DA over doctor shopping which was proven wrong ... Letterman on the other hand called Sarah Palin a slut ... then Letterman admits on TV he had sex with his female staff ... who’s the hypocrite? Rush was just saying .....

Drug addiction is a victimless crime. Sleeping with your subordinates, over whom you have hire-and-fire power, not so much...

Your complaint fails depending on your definition of hypocrite. So give us your definition of hypocrite.

Maybe I’ve watched too much “House,” but for me, a Vicodin-addicted genius seems somehow less sleazy than a liberal married man who takes cheap shots at politicians’ kids caught with his hand in multiple cookie-jars.
Yeah, I know it’s moral relativity, but I’m an imperfect being. :)

Well, you know, we’re all hypocrites. It’s just a matter of degrees.
However, Mr. Letterman’s offenses were far more serious than the ones Rush is accused of.
I’d love to hear what, if anything, Governor Palin has to say about Mr. Letterman’s philandering.

I believe that all conservatives should clean themselves up and try to live a good, clean life so that no one can criticize them. If you make a mistake, own up to it, clean up, and move on. Rush did that.
But I also believe thaty conservatives should never self-censor themsleves -- if they see a Liberal who is misbehaving, then that Liberal needs to be skewered. No holds barred.
That's the way Democrats' play the game, and we unilaterally disarm ourselves if we decide to hold our tongues and just talk nice.

I actually don’t see the connection. And frankly, after Lettergeek’s attack on Palin’s daughters, I hope it comes out that Lettergeek himself had a tryst with Alex Rodriguez at home plate.

He’s taking Letterman to task for having sex with his staff.
If he were taking Letterman to task for coming forward about being blackmailed about a drug addiction, ya, I could see how that would be hypocritical.
What do you find hypocritical about it?

i'm sorry i don't see any equivalence between a vicodin addiction and a big shot tv host boss sleeping with his employees.

No, it was because he was facing a criminal investigation/indictment - I could be wrong.
