oh Lord. These girls look awful! I don’t care if you are a goth look or not. This attire considering the occasion is way off the mark. One can do goth and still look formal and lovely (for a goth look, which I am not into really). A lovely black dress with black ballet flats at a minimum would have been flattering. Skip the metal wrist bands. Uck!

The whole goth thing is about shocking right? Why bring them? I know they are most likely trying to be supportive and ‘understanding,’ but they need to teach the children to respect the parents’ needs and expectations as well. They can always change into their goth world afterward if the parents are that tolerant. No wonder the parents hide them. They have a real problem at home and are trying to hide that.

I held back from making a comment to the effect that the Prime Minister was right to keep them out of the public eye, out of a desire not to be cruel. I see I was needlessly concerned.
So, “keep them out of the public eye”, and rightly so. The blonde really needs to work on her posture, and the blackhaired one is standing as though they let her out just for the photograph, and she’s nervous around other people.
