Anyone see today's Sunday "Doonesbry" column?
As many of you know the Ultra-Left starting with moveon.org made insidious references President George W. Bush being Adolf Hitler reincarnate. That we were living under a repressive regime, etc..
Well today Gary Trudeau in "Doonesbury" seems to be making the same kind of comparison to President Obama except in his case it isn't too far from the truth.
Any thoughts out there on this? Is this an example of some of the Left having grave doubts about Obama? Have at it then with your opinions.
Have you ever heard of satire? Trudeau is a commie and Obama lover.

Your right it may be satire but by using Hitler in any kind of comparison it still gives pause for thought.
I haven’t bought the fringe media’s fish-wrap in years and probably never will again. So no, didn’t see the comics.
He is undoubtedly referring to all of the nazi-like conservatives who dare to oppose The One.
Well once upon a time he was pretty funny but really hasn’t been in a long long time.

I think you’re misinterpreting it.
He’s saying there is NO comparison between Obama and the Nazis, even though some conservatives have made that comparison.
Read it again from that POV and see if you agree.

It is saying that speechifying is the length to which Obama will go. Not derogatory at all.
Do not subscribe to any rag that carries Doonesbury.
Reminds me of the NewYorker flap with Michelle and her machine gun. Note that Obama was strapping bombs on himself. I wonder if it was what made him upset.
Heh, threads like this remind me that I haven’t read a newspaper in over a decade, and therefore have not kept up with the comics. How’s ‘Ernie” doing these days? His Uncle Sid always cracked me up. I also liked ‘Bloom County’ - - that’s another funny one.

No question. I haven’t seen a Doonesbury strip in over a year. He hasn’t changed.
