This was pretty well written, so I wanted to preserve it before it disappeared.
Perhaps if we freep it they won't delete it.

The term was created by a recent caller to Howie Carr’s radio show in Boston.

From the state that gave you Gerrymandering. (after Elbridge Gerry, governor of Massachusetts. With a hard “g” as in garry.)

Gad, I love the mongrel, ad hoc construction of The English Language.

I want to add the following catagories: Philanderer, rapist, alcoholic sot, cheater, liar, fat slob. I’m sure we can come up with more.

I like the whining about making stuff up. Where the hell do they think the term Gerrymandering came from?
I don’t think moses carried it down from the mountain on a stone tablet.

This is brilliant.
It will become political lore the way that gerrymandering was coined after Elbridge Gerry.
Retroactively, the Torch swap in New Jersey was teddymandering, too. At the time, the Democrats were simultaneously arguing that Torricelli must be removed from the ballot in New Jersey in the name of "competitive" elections, while the deceased Patsy Mink must remain on the ballot in Hawaii in the name of "fairness."

I like it. I just saw a bumper sticker about an hour ago for a form of government called Minarchy, essentially a minimally invasive form of rule. The definition eludes me right now, but when I read it it seemed like the antidote to the 0bama way of governing. Or maybe it’s anarchy-lite. I don’t know.
Any FReepers have knowledge of what it’s about?

It is not going to make a hill of beans difference as soon as Obama gets to appoint every position in the government.

Sad thing is the people of Mass. Will go along with this miscarriage and not a whimper from then. They are past the redeemable stage. They have sunk into the abyss.
