It's not out until January but it's one of the few movies I'm looking forward to seeing. Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors. Pictured below in a front row seat waiting for Obama's inauguration (it had to have been cold...but I guess worth it for him). At least he's not in everyone's face with his politics like some.

In a post-apocalyptic world, a lone hero, Eli (Denzel Washington), guards the Book of Eli, which provides knowledge that could redeem society. The despot (Gary Oldman) of a small, makeshift town plans to take possession of the book.

judging from the trailer alone, it looks to be a decent flick.

If it’s being release in Jan, that means it’s probably horrible, and a write-off for the studio. They release the best movies in Dec for Oscar consideration & to take advantage of the holidays.

damnation alley is a great flick! that said, the 70’s version DOES need some cgi updates. (there are a lot of 70’s apocalyptic flicks that could be improved with a little cgi imho!) earthquake, towering inferno, the mechanic, etc., etc.,

I was just watching Dark Knight this afternoon and he was perfect as Commish Gordon. Yes, the rumor started to get out that he was a conservative right after he questioned his role in The Contender.

oldman, like many before him, will not be recognized by hollyweird, because he is a conservative, even though he is a great actor. (imho)

“the rumor started to get out that he was a conservative...”

FWIW, he’s on this list as a conservative:

It’s not worth much. About 1/3 of the people on that list are NOT conservatives. I believe GO is a self-described right leaning libertarian.
