The Free Republic Homeschoolers’ Forum is an annual thread where homeschoolers share tips and talk about curriculum.

This year, in response to requests from other parents, we have put together a guide for anyone interested in homeschooling. (See below.)

Scroll down for the latest list of educational resources recommended by homeschoolers on Free Republic. Corrections and updates were made to the previous list. Links to any product or website no longer available were deleted. Then the recommendations made last year were added. Also, a list of links to resources right here on Free Republic has been expanded under Free Republic Library. As always, feel free to share advice with other homeschoolers in the comments following on this thread.

If it wasn't for Chris Klicka, Colorado would not have the strong homeschooling laws that it does now. He has fought the valiant fight for Christ's Kingdom at a level that few men attain - and did it all with a broken body.
Chris Klicka is a superb example of what it means to be a God-fearing man, husband, and father.
We are praying for Chris and his family. Thanks for the note.
The Well Trained Mind (Classical Christian HS) is a wonderful book on your list. I would also recommend their forums. They have great forums divided up into many interest areas and age levels where you can ask questions and get advice from other moms using the classical approach.

I went to high school with Chris; we were in a graduating class of ten! I had a chance to talk with him on the phone at our 30th HS reunion in August, he wasn’t able to make it to Wisconsin to the reunion due to his failing health. He has always had one of the strongest Christian faiths I have ever encountered.

Where did you hear that?
I just did a google search, not expecting anything about it on the MSM, and nothing came up.
I didn’t get an HSLDA update either.
I am a long time homeschooler and I am getting rid of curiculum, books and dvds. Nice sets for elementary kids. The problem is trying to sell the stuff. Ebay doesnt really work. And the other places dont really move things.
Any ideas.
