I take one or two tablespoons a day, usually mixed in with a yogurt cup. My family has a pretty high incidence of heart problems.

My husband has been prescribed statins for several years and he is under 40. He took them for awhile but had problems with muscle pain.

It doesn't break my heart that he cannot take them. We'll look into lecithin.
