Fish was in critical condition Monday after shooting himself in the head, but he's alert and able to speak. Guess he didn't hit anything vital.

I’d rather die young than have to “live” to the day when all I have to look forward to is having my bedpan changed.

Life without God is so empty, so desparate, so meaningless, and so cheap.

"Id rather die young than have to live to the day when all I have to look forward to is having my bedpan changed." While I personally might agree with you, I'd also add that I wouldn't make such a decision for anyone else, as this man apparently did.

There are solid reasons some things have to be illegal, and equally valid reasons why people do them anyway.

Sad story on all accounts...

Booked on a murder charge. What are they going to do, give him a life sentence?

Guess compassion and love have no political boundries.
If I was totally bedridden and 90 yrs old, I would want the same.
But hey, that’s just me.

I have a lot of sympathy for this man.
My mother cried out in agony as she was dying from cancer and we could do nothing. One has to experience such a horror before judging others.

LOL, please let me know what you thought I meant when I said that I wouldn’t make a life / death decision for someone else, and how the ObamaCare people would thank me for saying that.

I don't know if I would be so tough on the husband.
The story gives us no facts other than he shot and killed his wife and tried to kill himself. Who knows what type of suffering she was enduring. Maybe she asked him to take her life. I don't think if she did, that's his prerogative, but maybe it can help us understand if that was the case
A lot of unknowns are left unanswered.
Anyone who has endured serious long term pain and suffering easily gets despaired and a sense of hopelessness.

Agreed, although if anyone would be qualified to make that decision it’d be the long time spouse.
