Washington » Members of the House Science and Technology Committee on Tuesday questioned a government commission report that suggested the U.S. could move away from a NASA-launched space vehicle to a private, commercial conveyance.

It’s inevitable. Like commercial airlines and cruise ships.
But I think when this occurs the DOD Space Command (Marines maybe) will somehow be involved in keeping peace in outer space. Air Marshals will not cut it.
I know, the Marines are wishful thinking.

The Democrats have always viewed the space program as a jobs and/or social engineering and/or diplomacy vehicle.
Republicans see it as either a defense issue and/or economic development vehicle.
Few people see the difference; mainly due to the lamestream media purposefully or due to incompetency avoiding reporting on the difference.
