Can't ACORN help these poor hookers get a break?

Go to the link, the pics are there (I knew there'd be calls for 'em!) LOL

My first thought was how many are illegals brought in with the help of ACORN/COI.

Gee, I wonder if they were allowed to dress before they were hauled in.

#1 and #2 are kind of cute but the whole things is pretty sad. The economy is awful and we may see more of this. They should also arrest the Johns.

Is there a cosmetics shortage that I’m unaware of?

Can’t. If the state ran ad that read like a prostitute soliciting clients, it would be entrapment. The actual prostitutes ran the ads, so they solicited. If someone posted an ad that offered to pay for sex, that would be soliciting on the part of the john.

Obviously, drugs improve your looks.

In their eyes maybe. I doubt if those "pimples" on some of their faces are zits; more likely herpes sores or worse.

No real crimes going on that cops in Florida couldn’t deal with?

This is just boneheadedly stupid. So what happens when Craigslist is forced to shut down this type of service? Why, the hookers will just go back out onto the streets, which in turn promotes more neighborhood blight, crime, and reduces the quality of life. Duh.

Why exactly do cops have a problem with grown men and women making discreet sexual transactions on the Internet? Do we really want to return to the good old days of adult bookstores on every corner and ads for prostitutes in alternative newspapers were underage kids can get ahold of them?

They should use as their defense that there are just no legal jobs in the Obama ecnomy, and throw themselves on the mercy of the court (maybe the judge could use a sex slave that would clean house too?)

These “ladies” are amateurs who need to hit the streets to pay for drugs for themselves or their pimp. Obviously their services are relatively cheap and anyone who uses them best be aware of both being ripped off as well as contacting diseases or parasites.

The “professionals” use the net to advertise escorts for “companionship” and state “it is not an offer of prostitution.” Any “activity beyond companionship is an agreement between two consenting adults.” And they require references and even a credit check to avoid ripoffs and stings! They also report the income (or a portion of it) to the IRS as “massage theorists” or some such occupation. They are generally health conscious, good business women and empathetic with their clients. One of the business cable networks had a special a while back on the business. Very interesting including some who do it for fun and extra money though they have jobs.

With the rampant post 70’s age of contraception promiscuity I am surprised that this profession is still so lucrative.

First two get instant parole.
All others should be outsourced from Fla to Arizona for Sheriff Joe’s rehab tent city.

Shades of Paulines!!! From your handle I can guess where you are from...and you HAVE to know who Pauline is!! So this is just too good to pass up!! (inside joke to a fellow hillbilly)

I know I am gonna get massive flames from this one, but it is just too good to resist.

I live in a small country in Eastern Europe... Real sex crimes - rape, child molestation, etc, as far as I know are virtually non-existent here. I have not heard of any instances of the kind of perverted stuff occurring here in my 5 years in residence that you would see in a day or two in any major city in the U.S. No abductions of school children, no co-eds found raped and dismembered, nobody assaulted in a dark alley (we got a lot of dark alleys). While prostitution is technically illegal, the reality is that the authorities just don’t seem to pay any attention to whatever arrangement is made between two adults regarding personal matters, but there is NO evidence of this kind of activity in the open on the streets like one might see on the TV show “COPS”

The very same local website that hosts internet dating ads, and that I met a few very nice Christian ladies on when I first moved here also has mixed in its listings ads from a lot of women who in their profile say “intim za dengi” (intimate for money). When I first saw those I was a little shocked and its not my cup of tea but I figured it was just the local way of doing things.

These differences in approach to the issue and the results I see, can not but make me wonder which society is misguided in their approach to dealing with this issue. Nice normal women do not have to carry mace, guns, stab your eyes out keychains or worry about walking home in the dark.

I do know there are many other cultural and demographic issues in play that are huge differences between the two societies which very likely play into the differences in crimes of this nature. It does give one food for thought though.
