Have a martini after your shower. It’ll kill all the germs!

Also you could fill a ziplock baggie with CLR or vinegar and tie it on the showerhead and leave it for a while. My name should be Heloise! Heloise, maybe. Safety Officer, not so much...if it accidentally fell off, you could be splashed in the eyes by the chemicals. Probably better to use bucket or cup on a solid surface. Stay safe ; )

You can clean the scale in your shower head easily. You have to put CLR (go to Home Depot, lowes etc) and put it in a big plastic cup or small bucket. Dip the shower head in to disolve lime. You do not have to remove the head. Anyone know if vinegar will do the same thing?

Good suggestions - thanks to both of you. I use a “Sprite Shower Head” it has a filter cartridge that's changed every 6 months. It's like showering in bottled water.
Soaking things in white vinegar is a great idea - it would dissolve calcium... keep things clean without harsh chemicals - cool.

I use a rubber band to hold the baggie up while the white vinegar works on the shower head. Put the rubber band on first and above where the baggie will come, then roll the band down over the baggie when in place.
BTW, did you know that olive oil massages kill skin germs? ;^)

Congrats on catching my intentional typo. It certainly would be if those three came to visit me in the shower. Ah, dreams, dreams . . .

And the next little gadjet on store shelves will be an insert for the shower head that can hold a couple of ounces of sanitary gel that gets distributed as you shower and, oh, here is a bottle of the gel made by Proctor and Gamble. The study was probably financed by Moen and P&G.

Depends on how strong the vinegar is.
Household vinegare is 4-6% acetic acid.
Clr is Hydroxyacttic acit12%, sulfamic acid 3-5%, citric acid 3-5%
Usually more diluted acid means the need for longer exposure time.
