The 40-year-old "comedian" Jack Black went on the "dark side" during the MTV Awards praying to the devil. Black, who was promoting a heavy metal video game called Brütal Legend, asked the "Dear Dark Lord Satan" to bless the rock star nominees with "continued success in the music industry." "I was mortified when Jack Black lead everyone in a prayer to satan. It was no joke," said Samantha Taylor of California. "The audience held hands and did it. I was a fan, but not anymore."
Black made his grand entrace wearing extra muscles and a battle axe.
"During the Awards, I seriously felt as if I were watching a big party celebration that was taking place in satan's den," said the viewer. "It sickened me. I'll never watch anything on MTV channel again. First and last time," said Taylor.

Yes.
But the truth is not that Jack Black believes it (I hope).
The joke is that more than a few hard-core metal heads believe it. That is why it resonated.
I remember the guy and his friend that shot themselves in the head after listening to Ozzie.
One guy lived and sued Ozzie because of the music.
The documentary was crazy. They guy was drooling out of what was left of his face and lower jaw.
I think he suicided by pills a year after the documentary.
It seemed to me more of a spoof of heavy metal/satanism. They don’t always go hand in hand, but as time goes on you have to become darker and darker to be on the edge. And Black was making fun of that stereotypical image.
Dressing up like Elvis and shaking your hips isn’t very rebellious anymore and surely I wasn’t the only rebellious teen on FR.
That being said, my Christian daughters were like “I’m not saying those words!”. Good girls.
Satan’s biggest lie is convincing the youth of the world he doesn’t exist.
I remind everyone that Jack Black is a comedian. That said, be careful, Jack. Jesus will forgive you if you repent...yes, even for playing Him in that anti-Prop-8 video, let alone this...because He may be holy and just, but He is also merciful, and perhaps most importantly in your case, He has a sense of humor. Satan, on the other hand...
If more than half the people think it’s a joke because it’s made to look like comedy, I guess he wasn’t being all that obvious.
Satan’s tricky like that.
“Looks like Jack’s all ‘droided up.”
Too much Star Wars?
Good for Jack Black. It’s about time they came out of the closet and admitted what we always knew.
People joke about some things to their own perile.
Stop that! I just had lunch.
Perhaps.
I think the lady missed his joke, wether it was funny or not.
Jack Black has been playing on Heavy Metal’s fascination with the Devil for a long time.
He was there promoting his new video game about Heavy Metal. Why wouldn’t he mine part of the culture of Heavy Metal that isn’t ripe for parody?
And the professionally outraged are outraged.
I’ll defent Black. This was satire. Anybody who thinks he lead a straight up prayer to the Devil is being badly fooled. Think, people! Don’t be knee-jerk dunces like the left-wing robots are. He was performing satire regarding the devil-worshiping rocker reputation.
Gads, the crap that ends up on the Internet and being believed by people as the gospel truth. Don’t be gullible fools.
Why am I not laughing? It’s obvious you don’t know the “Hollyweird” left.
Actually it is.
Riiiight.
He sacrifices kittens in his basement at the beginning of every new moon.
“Never ascribe malice when incompetence will do.”
One of the truest sayings EVER, in all of its many forms.
It’s far more likely he’s a piss poor comedian who made a bad joke, than an uncloseted satanist in search of more Minions of Hell.
Anchor Arms.
Is it sad that I know that, and can recite the best lines from that episode?
At the age of 44?
An internet search of “atheist Jack Black” came up with quite a few hits. Let’s see what Jack has done recently: Oh yeah, he played Jesus Christ in “Prop 8 Musical” (you remember Proposition 8, that’s where homosexuals in California wanted to get married). Being that the majority of homosexual’s are atheists as well (you can’t live the homosexual lifestyle and still believe in God and His laws), I’m sure Jack was very “respectful” of the character of Jesus (uh huh).
I don’t know that the majority of homosexuals are athiests.
Some proof would be required.
The do show poor decision-making skills, as do liberals.
Really.
Do you think he’s just being “blasphemous” or is he in league with Lucifer?
