A woman martial arts expert knocked out a Coldstream Guardsman and attacked another squaddie's wife at an Army Christmas ball in a row over soldiers pretending to be gay.

the soldiers were guilty of unbecoming conduct
*Don’t be mess’n with her when she’s been drinking!
It doesnt sound like the soldiers were “pretending” to be gay.
BINGO
I love Canadian women.
Tough and cute, can’t beat that.
The officers often reflect those goofy Monty Python movies and skits for real. I think one movie was about a rather gay British Army unit, obviously not the hit that “Life of Brian” or “Spamalot” (play) was.
I feel for her husband. She starts a brawl and he ends up getting his nose bitten off. Ouch.
There’s a Monty Python skit in here somewhere.

After reading the article, it sounds more like a sucker punch.
Christmas ball?
From the newspaper account it is impossible to tell if she was justified or not. I wouldn’t make too much of her knocking someone out. This was just a brawl among drunks. In any event, I hope her husband gets his nose stitched back on, and they will have to test him now for HIV.
What I do admire is her moral courage for going up to these degenerates and telling them off.
You got to watch the women when things turn rough.
The hardest punch I have ever taken in my life was from a woman. I was in the process of bouncing her boyfriend and the next thing I know, I’m rolling back on my heals trying not to fall over.
I look for the other bouncer who is supposed to have my back, he is curled up laughing so hard that he is of no use. I draw back my fist to hit the guy that I thought hit me and he starts yelling it wasn’t him pointing to a woman who has her fist back for a hay maker. She just about got me a second time. I ended up bouncing all four of the offenders by myself, it took about 15 minutes for my partner to pull himself together. Every time he looked at me, he would bust out laughing again.
I’ve been hit by farmers, construction workers and Indians from the rez but nobody else has connected as accurately or with the force of that woman. My head hurts just thinking about it.
Back when I studied a little karate, my sensei and his wife were both 3rd-dan black belts in the Wado-Ryu style. She was a 105-lb wisp of a woman. A meek little housewife, to all appearances, just as sweet and kind as ever you please.
She was once accosted in a grocery store parking lot by a thug who grabbed her from behind as she was loading her car. She had him on the ground, writhing in agony, within a couple of seconds. If I recall right, she hyperextended his knee and fractured his larynx. Hospitalized him for a week and crippled him for life.
Isn't that a heart-warming story?
I read this story then when I saw the picture of the husband it hit me who it was... same guy who taught me unarmed combat years ago before I went into the infantry. He’s a good guy and I wouldn’t scrap with him.
As a soldier that served in Canada for 10 years, I can honestly say if I saw some of my mates doing that on the dance floor, they would of received the same treatment. Disgracing the corps.
My sister is a triple black belt in taekwando. You cannot conceive how hard she can hit someone. It just blows me away.
“Gay” British soldiers? We need that clip of the Monty Python skit.
No Pooftas!
