In a case that makes a compelling argument for the use of anti-meat-shoplifting dogs, a man in Mary Esther, Florida was caught when grocery store personnel noticed that he was "looking suspicious." He looked suspicious because of the 48 ounces of bacon he had stuffed in his pants.
We trust that the always mature readers of Consumerist will find nothing amusing about this situation whatsoever.

that reminds me of a true story...
My cousin was visiting me from Germany in 2002..he was not quite with it on the increased surveillance at airports with Homeland Security. Anyways, he decided to bring me some authentic German sausage from Munich..salami. He packed it in his carry on luggage.
the next thing he knew, security surrounded him, guns and all,and He was then detained in a back room for a little while while the security searched his luggage. They found the salami and let him through...
Seems it set off the “sniffer “ police dogs! LOL!!
