WaPo Presents 9-12 Event as GOP Danger, Full of 'Right-Wing Nutballs' and 'Freaks'

The Washington Post puts the large, emerging 9-12 protest rally at the top of the front page today, but insist on playing up the fringe elements, "right-wing nutballs" and "freaks" – something liberal journalists very rarely did when covering anti-war, anti-Bush events. They often fail to place those protesters on the left.

But reporters Dan Eggen and Perry Bacon Jr identified ideology immediately. "With tens of thousands of conservative protesters expected in Washington on Saturday" are the first words. The story carries five conservative labels from the reporters. The fourth paragraph quotes "Republican" adviser Mark McKinnon – but fails to remind the reader that McKinnon resigned from the McCain campaign last year because he liked Obama too much to make advertisements against him:

I only read the headlines on The Washington Post. My grocery store has it at the checkout line between the Juicy Fruit and the nail clippers.

But top Republican strategists and many party observers also worry about the impact that the most extreme protesters might have on the party's image, including those who carry swastika signs

Complaints should go to the Post ombudsman about this. It is based on Pelosi, not evidence.

Here is what the buttwipes in the USA today wrote...this is a snipit from the article....

Ilyse Hogue, spokeswoman for the liberal network MoveOn.org, called the protesters “an extremely vocal minority” who resort to shouting people down instead of engaging in reasonable debate.

“They are completely out of step with where the majority of people in this country want to go,” she added. “Instead of shouting down elected representatives and their fellow citizens who have ideas about how to move forward, they should probably get in the discussion about what we can do to solve the health care crisis, the economic crisis and the energy crisis.”

This is not journalism.

It is immature, liberal denial. I put my academic, business and street creds up against any of these Gen X kids. No contest.

These people are straight out J School with a terribly liberal slant. In talking with you, you can tell. I challenge Freepers today to take them aside. Do not argue you yell. Engage in discussion, pepper them with facts, overwelm them with intellectual capability, make a statement. Engage, Engage, Engage.

How are “Rightwing nutballs” and “freaks” different from the Leftwing nutballs and freaks now running the country?

Spot on brother. I was approached by several coworkers this week asking if I knew where the closest Tea Party was. I was in shock. This movement is growing and is including Democrats now as well as unhappy Republicans and Independents.

There are no more Democrat liberals left in America. That philosophy has been subsumed by Republicans. The Democrats have chosen Socialism as a credo, and now they will have to live with the consequences.

That’s good. They just expose themselves more and more as Government propagandists.

It only makes the opposition more and more determined.

The MO of the left has always been to label those who dissent.

The game only works if the opposition allows itself to own the label.

Once everyone says, STFU, the game is over.

None of us are idiotic enough to wear giant papier mache’ heads or carry huge puppets during a protest.

"crisis, the economic crisis and the energy crisis."

And the education crisis, the Global Warming crisis, the homeless crisis, the starving children crisis, the disappearing forrest crisis, the spotted owl crisis, etc., etc.. Gee am I seeing a pattern develop here?

Look at it this way, WaPo... There are a WHOLE LOT of right-wing nutballs and freaks. In fact, a majority of the population is composed of right-wing nutballs and freaks, and their ranks are growing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis.

> they should probably get in the discussion about what we
> can do to solve the health care crisis, the economic
> crisis and the energy crisis.”

We tried that, but we got booed, shouted down, and called Nazis by our Bolshevik “neighbors”, like MoveOn.org.

Health Care crisis? There isn’t one. Show me one, JUST ONE, real person who cannot get treatment when they need it. The Left just doesn’t like the way it’s funded - privately. They want government funding and government CONTROL.

Economic crisis? How about letting the marketplace do its job rather than artificially interposing the government to force banks to give loans to people who are incapable or unwilling to make the payments?

Energy crisis? This is the most insulting of them all. How about spending the 2 billion DRILLING for oil and gas here in the STATES, rather than giving it to Brazil for them to drill for it there?

But, the Left isn’t listening.

That’s because the United States, and especially Americanism, occludes their pursuit of a one-world socialist government. They must reduce the United States to a second-rate nation; dependent, stagnant, declining in influence and power, in order to pursue their vision.

Those on the Left who are not privvy to this vision, and even many of them who are, are just useful idiots.

Most of the useful idiots will conveniently “disappear” when they have outlived their usefulness. Perhaps with a little more finesse than communist revolutionaires of the 20th century discharged this messy little detail, but the end result will be the same: tens of thousands of useful idiots, as well as the voices of the opposition, buried in mass graves or incinerated in large furnaces.

So the WaPo is “concerned” for the Republicans. Sure they are, the inside the beltway RINOs who deserted all conservative principles and let get into this mess. Let them SOBs worry. They need us more than we need them, at least as long as there are elections to sustain the legitimacy of the governing elite. This was a shout out to these RINOs not to get to cozy with us and to keep stoking the “divisions within the GOP”. Let the RINOs continue to go by the WaPo’s advice. We’ll see what happens when the primaries occur back here at home were WaPo’s opinion ain’t worth shit. Then these politicians have to decide, WaPo who can’t vote, or us, who can.

Yes, here is the current scorecard. Please keep in mind the scale is relative to each other and of course, I am speaking in generalities:

Liberals/Progressives - Socialists (extreme/hard left)

RINOs/moderates/Independents - Democrats (weak left, middle, weak right)

Conservatives - Republicans (middle right, few hard right)
