I’m 90% PC and 10% Mac. Macs are great for certain things, but I hate the “hip guy” TV campaign so much that it could literally cause me to buy a PC instead.

So, what do you think Macs are "great" for? What 10% of your computing do you use Macs to do?

I give Mac an edge for graphics, video work, etc.

We’re long past the days of Apple and Microsoft running their products on different processors. The programs run on the same Intel processors these days, and there are very few platform-specific programs left. There is some debate as far as video editing (Avid, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere), but in general that line of reasoning probably isn’t particularly valid anymore.

That was a very weak ad.

They used to be clever and funny - now they're just pathetic.

Apple touting "long-life" batteries is laughable, considering most of their products require a trip to an Apple store to change one out.

My sister has one of the new batteries. It lasts about 6 hours on a charge on average. Obviously the jury is still out on if the battery will last the 5 years Apple says it will.
