A black Tibetan Mastiff who's name is 'Yangtze River Number Two' is believed to be the most expensive dog in the world.

Perhaps its telling that the owner is a Chinese millionaire named Mrs. Wang.

I guess the Chinese can afford ..

when we were in china two years ago, our guide told us that domesticated animals, ie dogs and cats, are not really used much for food anymore. more and more people are keeping these animals as pets. in some cases they choose to have pets rather than children due to the severe overcrowding of people. evidently pets take less space.

Maybe that’s what happened to Yangtze River Number One.

evidently pets take less space.

And less money, less whining, less heartache.

“She had better hope it does not get lose someone may eat it.”

“Maybe that’s what happened to Yangtze River Number One.”

Yangtze River Number One became Yangtze River Number Two AFTER somebody ate it.

Maybe it does pay to be a Communistic society.

Over 1/2 million dollars for a dog just because it deposited a number two in the Yangtze River?!

Actually if #2 gets loose it may be the one doing the eating. The only one I’ve known had a terrible disposition, only I and the kennel manager could handle it. The breed is a close cousin to the Caucasian Ovcharka, a breed also known for bad tempers. The “Brucey” in BruceysMom was a Caucasian
Ovcharka.

don’t get me wrong, i adore both of my kids and would never be able to survive without them but.... the teenager is seriously expensive (those shoes are huge and require a separte budget) and the 3yr. old is a whining machine (must invest in earplugs one day soon). but the hugs and love make it worth while even if that boy’s feet may need their own zip code soon or the girl’s whining hits critical mass.

That much money for an animal that will live barely more than a decade.
