After sitting through the much awaited speech. One that touched on many suggestions made by other republicans, yes, even suggestions made by President Bush. The Democrats cheered every time Obama mentioned the very same changes. "W" had made proposed changes to insurance companies practices, he even suggested a pool for small businesses to partake in. Yes even the dreaded liberal favorite - tort reforms. They torched "W" for making the very same proposals.
My take is the MAIN problem here is not the public program and any cuts to medicare or other programs to create such a program. We have lived our lives here in the US with government run programs such as Medicare, SSoc, Medicad, VA care, School Loans, and grants. I'm sure we can live with another program (especially since the Post Office is probably going to be going away - IMHO - odd since the postal union urged Obama support).
The part that steers the passion/anger in my gut more than even Obama getting credit for such a bill, is how the Main Stream Media licks Obama's heels to gardner support for any Liberal agenda. They have trashed anyone in the way of their agenda. Even us - the common people.
For example, immediately after the republican response was made, the man as attacked verbally by MSNBC. Not for the points he was trying to make, but his personal life. I swear I could almost see spit fly out of the sportscasters mouth.
I honestly believe it is not Obama the Man that is driving the polls down, but rather the "Air (media & advisors) that surrounds him. These mannerisms seem to creep their way into things Obama says, and even the facial movements of those who surround him.

It should be your MAIN problem. When "competition" takes out the insurance industry, the public program will have you patched into a Mephistopheles that will be a major MAIN problem. You will have lost your liberty fool.
Investment income is a significant part of total income in most insurance companies. With the insurance industry gone, the investments will be gone and what will that do to the economy? Hint: jobs.
