Teenager Jessica Maree Langford has pleaded not guilty to charge of culpable driving which led to the tragic death of her boyfriend Daniel Glover.

Evidence used in the Melbourne Magistrates court against the 19-year-old included evidence of speeding, an unlawful blood-alcohol reading and the fact that she was naked at the time as means by which to commit her to trial.

Miss Langford told the court she and Glover had been skinny-dipping around midnight at Shoreham on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula and had used their clothes to dry themselves. She denied any suggestion that sexual activity had taken place whilst driving.

Langford’s car was calculated as travelling at 104 km/h at the time of the accident, in which she apparently over-steered before crashing into a power pole. Glover, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time, was secured into the vehicle as it rotated into the pylon. Langford, who was not wearing a safety belt, was thrown clear of the wreckage and found nearby on the ground with minor injuries.

Not sure when this happened but if it was recently, I don't buy the "skinny dipping" defense.

June-September are mid-winter months down under and the water around Melbourne is freezing! If they had gone skinny dipping it would have put sex right out of the question. It's the equivalent of taking a cold shower.
