Shame the average family went from the Cleavers to the Bundys in such a short amount of time. Al Bundy was a hero for our time.
He had a family who had little respect for him, had an unfulfilling, dreary job, yet every day he got out of bed and went to work to support his family despite it all.

In the Military we had a Teletype Transmitter Distributor and Reperforator unit that would auto-type that text from a looped punch paper tape in almost no time at all. I still have a tape of "The Adventures of Micro-farad and Milli-amp" with my old odds and ends.
The guys that operated these machines in a Comm Center were called tape apes. I was a tech controller that worked on the long distance data lines connecting the DSTE terminals.

Sounds like a 28ASR or 35ASR made by Teletype Corp in Skokie.

More likely he had a foot fetish and spent half his time behind that curtain marking the inventory.

Just so.
I've had a very good life in Telecommunications.

That's awesome. Catchy theme music. Too bad it doesn't have English subtitles.

"These days, American visitors in Russia could be forgiven for thinking they had stumbled upon some bizarre realm of reruns. Adaptations of two other shows, Whos the Boss? and The Nanny, are also popular here. All three programs are distributed by Sony Pictures Television International, which has created versions of them and other American programs around the world, often in partnership with local producers. The Nanny, which was first broadcast here in 2004, was such a hit that after running out of episodes to copy, some of the shows original American writers were commissioned to create 25 more episodes, said Ron Sato, a Sony spokesman."
Yikes.
