Tiger brings in the viewers whether he wins or loses

I had the chance to meet him once (and I’m sure he still brags about it) at Pebble...when you stand toe to toe with him, you are really aware of what an athlete he is and something that took me by surprise...which is that he looks every bit as much Asian as black...he was quoted somewhere (not sure where) that it amuses him that everyone is so aware of his being black but doesn’t notice his other features...it really is remarkable.
Not that his being part black has anything to do with what is not being said on this thread...
you can count on one hand all the athletes w/ Tiger’s work etchic and have two fingers left

I personally couldn’t care less about golf one way or the other. It’s the most boring sport on earth to me. But Tiger is the best in the world at it and has earned every bit of his media coverage. And no, it’s not because he’s of his race, though his race does add curiosity to the Tiger story because there’s never been another great black golfer in...ever. If anybody thinks Tiger is only a story because he’s black, that says much more about them than it does about Tiger.

Best EVER. His game is so above everyone else, it’s crazy...I feel priveleged to be able to watch him play and go whenever I can to see him...I understand that some don’t like him for whatever reasons...I am sure there are many shades of dislike...but he is the greatest golfer to ever play the game.

Hate to pick nits, but not yet. Until and if he wins more majors than Jack, then he can claim that title. Tiger would be the first to tell you that, he’s said it many times.
Use it as you wish. Meanwhile I’m gone searching for something more banal than complaining about golf coverage, this may take a bit of time.

Well he is certainly the best there is today
Whether his competition is as good as what Nicklaus faced is another story
BTW it looks like he is starting to have putting problems
That is what got Hogan and Snead as the neared 40
Especially Hogan who even in his 40s was better than anyone on the tour from tee to green
