The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is at war with online retailers of nutritional supplements and natural remedies, but it recently lost a major battle: Lane Labs, which has suffered under FTC and FDA tyranny for years, recently won a significant battle against the corrupt agency. After the FTC tried to sue Lane Labs for $24 million, claiming "contempt of court" for the company telling the truth about the efficacy of its products, a federal judge ruled against the FTC, explaining that Lane Labs was telling the scientifically-validated truth about its products when it described their health benefits.
This defeat of the FTC's latest attempt to censor the truth about nutritional supplements is making waves in the nutrition industry. It signals a crack in the wall of FTC tyranny and a possible route for establishing Free Speech for nutritional supplement companies that only seek to tell the truth about their products.
In the world of truth-telling, no one speaks the truth about natural remedies more openly and honorably than a small company called Daniel Chapter One (www.DanielChapterOne.com), a religious ministry that also sells anti-cancer herbs, many of which are advocated in the Bible and other religious writings. Supported by a radio show and a website, Daniel Chapter One dares to tell people the truth about its natural remedies, even in the face of extreme intimidation and threats from the FTC.

Isn't that like saying the Rush Limbaugh of malarkey? I doubt Rush approves of his name being attributed to quackery.

Mike Adams is no stranger to traditional Western medicine. The son of a Pfizer contractor and a clinical trial tester for some of America's biggest pharmaceutical companies, Mike grew up using prescribed pharmaceuticals, trusting doctors and believing what the FDA reported was safe and in the best interests of the country. All that would change when Mike was faced with his own personal health emergency, and the pillars of medicine he once trusted came crumbling down before him.
Mike began his mission as the Health Ranger as a response to his own failing health. At the age of 30, he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, a disease brought on by poor diet and severe lack of exercise. As a high-powered software executive, extreme levels of stress and cholesterol, depression and chronic back pain were common features of Mike's past.
Searching for answers to his health woes, Mike dove into research; he devoured thousands of books on nutrition, pharmaceutical drugs, wellness programs, the politics of food - anything he could find.
Mike has now made it his life mission to share the most remarkable discovery he made on his quest: the vast majority of all diseases can be easily prevented and even cured without drugs or surgery.
And that’s exactly what Mike did. He cured himself of diabetes in a matter of months and transformed himself into the picture of perfect health in mind, body and spirit.
How Mike Adams transformed his own health
When Mike first began to discover all the life-changing information about health, he thought few people would believe what he was telling them. In order to gain credibility, he first had to prove that his own ideas about health were valid. So Mike decided to put them to the test by transforming his physical body into the healthiest patient any doctor had seen.
Through his own program of outstanding nutrition, careful food choice, and the outright avoidance of a few key dangerous ingredients (you can see them all covered in his book, Grocery Warning), he was able to dramatically revolutionize his own health.
Mike dropped 50 pounds of body fat. His LDL cholesterol plummeted to 67. His resting pulse plunged to 48. His back pain disappeared, and he felt absolutely reborn at the age of 32. Mike was in perfect health.
To prove these results, Mike had his blood chemistry analyzed by a local medical lab, and posted all his results online for everyone to see. All results are 100% verifiable and on-file with his naturopathic doctor.
Real answers for lifelong health
Emboldened by his own experience of health transformation, Mike continues to explore and share the truths of natrual nutrition, disease, health and healing. Over the last several years, he has spent more than 10,000 hours studying the true causes of disease vs. health. With the help of his extensive private research library, Mike Adams has authored more than 1,600 articles on health, interviewed today's greatest pioneers in alternative medicine, and completed dozens of books and special reports on the subject.
I’ve been getting his newsletter for many years.
You trust the Health Ranger [chuckle] and I’ll trust my physician.
This is very true. I agree there are quacks (in any field) but my God!! The Good Lord made the earth and put all good things in it! Of course we’re going to find good things for our bodies there! And as for doctors and the medical field -they all don’t know everything, and I don’t trust any of them that scorn organic or ‘natural’ things.
I myself have a terrific interest natural things, which is why I describe myself as a Christian, Conservative hippie. I’ve had some small success as a weekend herbalist. And funny, just 10 minutes before I read this thread I was looking for more information about natural remedies for a problem I’m having and said a little prayer that I might find an answer. And I think He also sent a confirmation. :)
There is no problem with FReepers. There is a problem with an advocate for a product or industry posting a thread to support said product or industry and personally making the first five posts of the thread he posted. Quack.
I work as a nurse in LTC and I think healthcare as we know it stinks.
