One of the best guitar solos ever.
And yes, very appropriate for today.

One of the most ANNOYING songs of the late 1980s, by a highly overrated band with a great guitar player (Vernon Reid).

This one and 'Nothingness' are both permanent denizens in my MP3 player I use at the gym. That slinky bass line that Doug Wimbish plays on the latter is hypnotic.

They reunited a few years ago, mostly small shows in the UK.

Perhaps more to the point, I watched the movie The Omen III: The Final Conflict, today. I double dare anyone to do that and not think of Obama.
To: mnehring
I think
this song is far more appropriate...

Oh, and Vernon Reid's synth guitar playing is un-fricking-believable.

Funny Sam Neil aces Obama in that movie and it was made back in the 80s.

Someone with talent (not me) could rework that song and make it reflect Obama and the current situation.
I predict that if it’s done well, it will “go viral” on the ‘net.

I call them like I see them. These guys have never gotten their due props for their talent, innovation, and songwriting ability, IMO. If those poodle-haired white boys in the 80's would have taken a few lessons from these guys back then, they'd still be considered 'mainstream', and not the current crop of no-talents who are the product of Pro Tools manipulation and slick T&A marketing.

It still amazes me that was from 1988. If that came out fresh today, it would break top 40 (unless people realized the anti-establishment theme of the lyrics). You are right, very underrated.
