Arguments for eBay birth certificate fall short (Corsi rebuts then solicits Lucas Smith...cites FP)
World Net Daily ^ | September 02, 2009 | Jerome R. Corsi

Posted on 09/03/2009 10:43:06 AM PDT by Seizethecarp

An eBay seller who claims he has a birth certificate of Barack Obama issued in Kenya continues to maintain the document is authentic, despite evidence it is a forgery.

As WND reported, administrators at Coast Province General Hospital in Mombasa said they had no knowledge of anyone at the hospital verifying a Barack Obama birth certificate, contrary to Smith's claim.

In his most recent videos, Smith apparently has relied heavily upon comments posted on Free Republic in various threads, including here and here.

The Smith document appears to be a forgery for the following reasons:

1. It lists "Coast Province Hospital" as the place of Obama's birth, even though Kenyan news and government sources continue to dispute the reference of "Coast Province" or "Coast Provincial" to official government documents issued by the hospital in 1961.

2. In 1960, Dr. James O.W. Ang'awa, the attending physician named in the Smith document, took over Port Reitz tuberculosis hospital, a few miles from Coast Province General Hospital, but no documentation has been found that Ang'awa ever delivered babies at Coast Province General Hospital.

3. Coast Province General Hospital refuses to verify that Helton Muganga actually certified the document, even though the document displays a stamp and purported signature.

Smith's asserts Coast Province General Hospital refuses to authenticate the document because of political or other pressure in Kenya.

Other issues disputed by Smith amount to little more than quibbles.

Still, should Smith provide WND with a complete and clearly legible copy of his alleged Obama birth certificate, WND is willing to request in writing either verification or denial of its authenticity from Coast Province General Hospital.

Looks like Lucas Smith, with the help of Freepers, has forced Corsi to reduce his prior list of 8 points of rejection down to 3 points, 2 of which amount to hospital "administrators had no knowledge" "hospital refuses to verify". Corsi's lawyerly language allows for Smith's document to be valid because the hospital administrators didn't declare it to be invalid, they only refused to verify it or had no knowlege of anyone verifying it.

The only major (non-quibble) point left is whether Ang'awa is on record delivering babies in Mombassa now that Corsi has had to retract his prior flat-out declaration that Ang'awa "never worked at any hospital in Mombassa".

Corsi's backdown was pointed out by commenter "no2obots" in Smith's Youtube comments:

Jerome Corsi: 8/25: "Dr. James O.W. Ang'awa, ...was a physician who worked in Kenya during the 1960s; however, he worked at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi. Dr. James O.W. Ang'awa never worked at any hospital in Mombasa."

Corsi,9/2: "In 1960, Dr. James O.W. Ang'awa... took over Port Reitz tuberculosis hospital, a few miles from Coast Province General Hospital, but no documentation has been found that Ang'awa ever delivered babies at Coast Province General..."

Corsi claims the footprint is clear enough for him to declare it suspect, but the document is not clear enough to begin validation. My wife, the neonatal nurse, researched studies showing that baby footprints have been found to be around 80% worthless for ID due to pervasive over-inking and smudging.

Despite still claiming "evidence it is a forgery," Corsi now invites Lucas Smith to submit the document for verification!

If my memory is right, WND made a big deal about how they hired an investigator in Hawaii last year.

Yet, it was just last month that it was revealed that the Polk directory showed that the Dunhams lived at the birth announcment address.

Why didn’t they know that before..and if they did, why didn’t they reveal it.

I also have had someone tell me that their claim about a rule about newborns not being able to fly until 6 weeks old is BS. This is someone that was involved in that industry back then.

So perhaps WND can show us proof of that law/rule just as they are wanting Lucas Smith to prove up things.

Where can I get a 8 x 10 copy of lucas smith’s kenyan BC? I will take it directly to my democrat senator’s office and ask them to prove that it’s not genuine.

It is not the quality of evidence that is important is, but the seriousness of the charge....

Maybe back when the BC issue first saw the light of day, if the GOP had sent a few political operatives to Mombasa (like the Rats sent to Wasilla) maybe we would have gotten to the bottom of this before the Usurper took over!

This is a United Nations entry for the daughter of the doctor who is supposed to have delivered Barack Hussein Obama in

Mombasa, Kenya.
Mary Atieno Ang’awa (Kenya). Place and date of birth: Mombasa, Kenya, 8 March 1954. Nationality: Kenyan.
She is now a prominent High Court Justice in Nairobi.
However, this confirms that in fact her father probably did practice in Mombasa, if she also was born there in the

1950’s. He apparently accompanied the 1978 Kenyan Team to the Olympics in Moscow (President Carter ;ead the U.S. boycott

of these games).
She could easily dispel anything about this “You Tube” document.
However, this begs the question — if you have to go overseas to authentic vital records concerning POTUS because of his

father, are we really talking about a ‘natural-born Citizen?’
Of course, the answer is, “No!”
I have seen questions asked, “Why Mombasa?” This is likely because Mombasa was one of the few cities at the time that

recognized “plural marriages,” and by this time, Obama, Sr. was a polygamist.

“Maybe they did.”

If they did, then they clearly did not find anything at all.

Or they’re sitting on it.

Who would have ever thought that the slick mulatto from Chicago would be anything more than an incompetent poser? How many really thought he’d be this bad, surrounded by so many awful people? The starry-eyed masses wouldn’t have listened, and the political opposition didn’t realize he was dangerous.

It’s entirely possible that the opposition had the evidence and chose not to use it for fear of race riots and because they realized no one would care.

What a colossal brouhaha it will be if a verifiable Kenya BC ever shows up. Shoving him out of office sounds wonderful as we sit safe and sound in our comfy homes, but it will not be good for our country.

Neither is the alternative of silence if someone really does have the proof.

Good Idea. Lucas Smith's Obama birth certificate is as valid as anything that Obama/Factcheck or anyone else have presented.
