Most telling is that he isn’t whoring a book deal, which probably means that he isn’t bright enough to actually put two sentences together. I remember being surprised by an article in the NY Slimes that said his “handlers” claimed they didn't want to give everything up before getting a book deal “worth millions” the Slimes checked and no major publisher would admit to even approaching him.

To be fair, few people outside Wasilla knew about the real Levi Johnston at the time Bristol Palin’s pregnancy became front page news.

Most people took his story at face value—that he was going to man up, marry Bristol and work in the oil fields to support them.

Sarah and Todd were probably not too hopeful about the outcome, but had some hope Levi might do the right thing.
