BOSTON Curt Schilling, the former major league pitcher who won the allegiance of Bostonians by leading the Red Sox to the 2004 World Series, said Wednesday that he has "some interest" in running for the seat held for nearly 50 years by Democratic Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.
Schilling, a registered independent and longtime Republican supporter, wrote on his blog that while his family and video gaming company, 38 Studios, are high priorities, "I do have some interest in the possibility."
"That being said, to get to there, from where I am today, many, many things would have to align themselves for that to truly happen," he added.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yessssssss...just a couple ads featuring the bloody sock....
I like Curt but that silly phrase drives me crazy. “that being said.” Guys on talk radio selling financial services and other things say it all the time as well as people in a corp environment. It is meaningless.
The other thing i hate is writers and news media types call EVERYTHING “iconic” or “legendary.” So idiotic.
I think he is a conservative...he really got screwed by Sox management who told him he couldn’t campaign in NE in 2004 and then all trooped up to NH to stump for John (my favorite player is Manny Ortiz) Kerry...
ba dum dummm
Run, Curt, run!
“Well, Curt may be the only guy who has thrown more curve balls and sucker pitches then Teddy.”
True. The Dems have thrown more screwballs at us than Bill Lee...
ba dum dum dummer...
Truth be known, he did it pretty much by himself in regards to the health care issue.....I just gave him a little push.
I am a happy person today!!!!
I am posting this on every thread I read today.....bear with me.... It's a success!!!
I am a happy person today!!!!

Good for you. We must as Conservatives continue to “convert” Democrats to our side. This is the way we can win big next year. Most Americans believe the same things we Conservatives believe. That is why a little nudge is all that might be needed to get someone on our side.
The Democrats have no idea how much they are turning off the average American to placate to their 15% loony base.
Good for you! That is success. Your friend owes you. ;o) Nothing like knowing the truth that sets one free!
