A 26-year-old therapist from Kids Hope United in Lake Villa had sex with a 14-year-old boy she counseled, say authorities, who've placed her in county jail today in lieu of $200,000 bond.
Cops charged Cori Rivelli, of the 800 block of Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, with one count of criminal sexual assault. She's due in court Tuesday.
The kiddie creep allegedly bedded the boy on more than one occasion over the summer at her Libertyville apartment.
After driving him from the residential facility to see his parents in Peoria, she brought him to her home, said Assistant State's Atty. Mary Stanton.
Rivelli's dirty secret came to light when a staff member at Kids Hope United overheard the victim talking about the sexual encounters to another resident and contacted police, Stanton said.
Rivelli allegedly also told a co-worker about the encounters, and that co-worker told police, Stanton said.
Kids Hope United is a "private human service organization dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families," according to their web site.
She looks like she was rode hard and put up wet.....by a 14 year old.

Try as I may, I just can't understand what benefit these therapists and counselors provide. We are just as screwed up with them as we were without them and we managed to be so without them or all the medications.

She’s 26 years old. So at risk kids are being entrusted to the care of ‘therapists’ with HOW MUCH experience? She probably doesn’t have a graduate degree. So undergraduate psych degree, if even that, is enough to help troubled children? And she probably doesn’t have children, right?
I noticed a troubled woman who attends my church (she’s 56) was hired to be a ‘counselor’ at a Hope type house for adults with emotional disorders. It means that she is available at night if anyone ‘needs’ to talk. So she takes a book and sits in a room reading until someone shows up to talk> She has no training, is under educated, has vast emotional issues herself resulting from a life time of abuse, but she is a paid ‘counselor’.

It is like the marriage counselors out there who have been divorced three times. Having mucked up their own life they use the experience to guide others.
I knew a girl at WKU who had sex with her shrink. Her best friend (a very tall girl) went to the same shrink and also had sex with him. I guess doc was really cleaning up on the coeds.
the good ones provide a different perspective and incentive to act more in line with teh mores of society, the nutsy ones find a way to justify and accept one’s deviant behavior.
