The RNC released a national television ad Tuesday touting its "seniors' bill of rights."
Republicans strongly support common-sense health care reform that would lower health care costs, preserve quality, keep families and doctors in charge of health care decisions, and end frivolous lawsuits. However, the first measure of any comprehensive health care reform must be to first do no harm, especially to seniors. The time has come for President Obama and Congressional Democrats to scrap their plans for a government-run health care experiment and join Republicans in agreeing on these important health care protections for seniors.

I know it's politics. But, why must ‘they’ put people in groups? Why not protections for all individuals?
My MIL was here for lunch, she thinks that the new health care will kill her and she got that from watching MSM.

I agree but in this case it really would be seniors and chronically/terminally ill people who would suffer.
I was thinking the exact thing. The individual is getting lost. Sure, we can use this as a wedge, but are you going to end up beholden to a group of seniors with their hands out? Is that any better than what Obama does?
