Paris Hilton fashion designer faces 50 years in jail for rape of young models he lured to LA

By MAIL FOREIGN SERVICE 31st August 2009

A fashion designer who was friends with Paris Hilton is facing more than 50 years in jail today after he was convicted for sexually assaulting young models he lured to Los Angeles.

Anand Jon Alexander, 35, is scheduled to be sentenced in Los Angeles Superior Court today before he is sent to New York to face similar charges. Los Angeles prosecutors have asked that he be imprisoned for the maximum possible under the law - three terms of 53 years and six months to life.

Today he faces up to 53 years in jail for rape

He was convicted in November of 14 counts including forcible rape. Some of his victims, who ranged in age from 14 to 21, are expected to speak.

Prosecutors said Alexander often found women online, baited them with promises of glamorous photo shoots and other modelling work, then attacked them at his Beverly Hills apartment. The designer has been featured on the television show 'America's Next Top Model' and worked with celebrities including R&B singer Mary J Blige.

He is also said to be a friend of hotel heiress Paris Hilton, a fan of his hand-painted jeans, which retailed for more than $700. His website lists dozens of celebrity A-listers as clients.

This is the same Hollywood it was in the 1920s with the same crimes and the same mock outrage.

This guy is the lowest form of scum. Life in prison with hard labor and a huge cellmate with a “alternative lifestyle.”

A fashion designer who’s not gay? Now that’s interesting.

There is a cesspool of people who are worshiped by idiots in America as a sort of royalty. It’s disgusting, but to a large extent, they drive the culture.

Shocking. I had originally presumed he was attacking young boys.

Hope he gets the maximum.

Prosecutors said Alexander often found women online

Wait... what?

They were women?

And this rapist is a guy, isn't he?

Fashion designer, guy, rapes women...

I'm sorry, I understand the words, but they make no sense.

If it had been boys, he would have never been charged.

That's what struck me as odd too.

A strange sign of the times.

Wouldn’t it have ultimately cheaper, wiser and smarter of this guy to just hire a pro like Spitzer did?

This guy was never really much of a success as a fashion designer. He was more of a poseur and an:

ar·ri·viste (²-r¶-v¶st“) n. 1. A person who has recently attained high position or great power without due effort or merit; an upstart. 2. An unscrupulous, vulgar social climber; a bounder. [French, from arriver, to arrive, from Old French ariver. See ARRIVE.]

Love the word. Kinda reminds me of a certain POTUSPOS The man from Kenya, Obammy, “yo mama”, Ozero, Obambi, etc., et al.
