Niceville, FL (AHN) - A woman was arrested Aug. 21 for attacking another woman, a smoker, with a can of air freshener.
Police were called to an apartment complex in Niceville, Fla. where they found a woman spraying a 9 ounce can of "Glade Potpourri Air Freshener" around another woman's head, the Northwest Florida Daily News of Fort Walton Beach reported.
Apparently seeking a fresher environment, the woman allegedly pointed the can at the other woman's head, spraying the contents of the can continuously for nearly a minute.
The police report quoted the sprayer saying she'll continue to spray the air freshener and threatened she'd take the case all the way to the Supreme Court, maintaining her right to breathe fresh air, the Daily News reported.
This was the second time the woman had attacked the other woman with air freshener for smoking in front of her apartment.
The woman was arrested for battery. No word on what scent potpourri she found covered the smoke best.
We lost a nephew this past year to a drug overdose. ‘A one time thing’ all of his friends and girlfriend claim. (Hundreds of teens at the funeral; it was something to behold.) I tend to believe them because he had everything to live for and was not some strung-out doper. Just a risk-loving kid. No tree was tall enough to jump from, no bike or car was fast enough, no skateboard trick dangerous enough. I’m sure you all know the type. *SIGH*
It can happen to any of our kids. This stuff is insidious, and even the smartest and brightest are not immune to this stupidity. They think they’e invincible; that nothing will ever take them down...as did we back then. :(
Oh, and those air fresheners they put in rental cars ... that should be a FELONY!
Well said. And I have never smoked. It’s not ABOUT smoking; it’s about control of the many by the busy-body Nanny-Staters.
Who’s next? Fatties? How about Blondes? Maybe tall skinny people will suddenly fall out of favor for hogging all the bone calcium we short people are deprived of? Spread the calcium! Spread the calcium!

Fortunately as time goes on we get wiser about some things.
It’s not about health.

If smokers can put one substance into the air, others ought to be able to put other substances into the air.

But, you need to find “Miss In-Between” and get HER out of your system first before you’ll be ready to settle down again.

I still go to my friends barbecues, I just make certain I avoid the particular fumes that bother me, and I don't make a big deal of my personal problem with the charcoal fumes.
I sometimes have to hold my breath for a few minutes, and move away from the fumes, but it's no big deal, just a small personal weakness.

You are either wllfuly naieve and/or ignorant, or making a useless attempt to appear to be ingeneous.
If you have a specific priciple you wish to articulate, I am afraid you have not adequately explained, at least to myself, exactly what it might be.
“Smokers” already have to abide by fairly new special laws, prohibiting smoking in many places, which is an entirely legal activity, to date.
Now if only there were special laws regarding the prohibition of rude people and stupid people...
